Under the direction of the Chairman and Executive Administrative Director of the John Theurer Cancer Center, the Director of Physics is responsible for providing the accountability and leadership for planning, organizing, directing and controlling all aspects of radiation activities in collaboration with the Chairman of Radiation Oncology and the Radiation Safety Officer. The director collaborates with administration, all governmental and regulatory agencies, hospital departments, physicians and staff to ensure quality of service and the safe delivery of radiation therapy.
The desired candidate must have a PhD in Physics. Requirements also include a minimum of 10 years quantifiable experience in the field of therapeutic medical physics, with applicable experience and knowledge in the area of oncology and grants management. To be successful this role requires a high level of interpersonal, communication, organizational, employee management and leadership abilities.
